Creating Your First Garden

Step 1: Access the Gardens Page

1. Sign in to your YourGarden account
2. Click on "Gardens" in the main navigation menu
3. Click the "Create New Garden" button

Step 2: Garden Setup

1. Name your garden: Choose a descriptive name like "Front Yard Vegetables" or "Herb Garden"
2. Add a description: Optional but helpful for organizing multiple gardens
3. Set dimensions: Choose your garden size in grid squares (each square = 100mm or 4 inches)
4. Select hemisphere: Choose Northern or Southern for proper seasonal planning

Step 3: Plan Your Layout

• Use the Plant Library to browse available plants
• Drag plants from the library onto your garden grid
• Watch for companion planting suggestions (green indicators)
• Avoid incompatible plant combinations (red warnings)
